The main idea of this project is to promote a substantial change in the desalting process carried out by inverse osmosis, as well as the form for obtaining the required pressure of 70 atmospheres applied to the osmotic membranes. The invention replaces the conventional processes by turbo-pumps due to the gravitational fall force of the liquid from the selected topographic height, being based in that 10 m of water column are equivalent to 1 atmosphere (BAR) of pressure. The installation must be close to the sea and at the respective mountain or topographic height. The process starts with the adduction and filtration of the salty liquid, from the sea, raising it to one or more pressure-regulating tanks, which are placed at the predetermined heights for generating the required pressure. Finally the water is descended by gravity in steel pipes from the tank to heights (+) 20 from the osmotic membranes. The salty water is finally desalted in a 50% and distributed, while the remaining 50%, corresponding to the rejected water, with the double amount of salt is returned to the sea, previous the energy recovery, since the water exit from the membranes is performed with a minimum energy loss of approximately 10 atmospheres, which maintains a considerable energy remnant.
