: The present invention discloses a novel plant cell culture media in which one of the ingredients is whole natural organic ash such as fly ash. The ash acts as a natural, low-cost, balanced source of macro and micronutrients. The medium comprised fly ash (10%), sucrose (3%), agar (0.8%) and also appropriate plant growth regulators and nitrogen sources, depending upon the type of plant material being cultured. Results of the culture obtained are comparable to that of existing media i.e. MS media, which is an already known and accepted medium worldwide for plant tissue culture.
