PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch evaluation of tempo deviation according to the skillfulness of a player and the speed of music.;SOLUTION: A manual tempo detected from an ideal tempo in musical performance information MP is subtracted to find deviation (difference) in tempo (step S1). Found tempo deviation information is subtracted from a deviation permissible value of deviation conversion (correction) characteristics corresponding to skillfulness information of the ideal tempo in the Figure. When the subtraction data is plus and the tempo deviation is small, an appropriate speed lamp 31 is turned on to display tempo appropriate speed. When the subtraction data is minus and the manual tempo is larger than the ideal tempo, an excessive speed lamp 32 is turned on to display "fast tempo".
