PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive crystallized Li2O-Al2O3-SiO2 glass which resists to the formation of microcracks on its surface even after long-term exposure to a sulfuric acid-containing combustion atmosphere formed when a fuel such as petroleum, coal, gas, or wood is burnt.;SOLUTION: The crystallized transparent Li2O-Al2O3-SiO2 glass is characterized in that the average degree of crystallinity is at least 60 mass%, The glass-rich layer has a thickness of at least 0.2 μm from the surface, and the available surface has at most 70/cm2 surface cracks of 1μm or longer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
