PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft magnetic steel material which can secure stable and excellent magnetic properties after magnetic annealing, and can be worked with high dimensional precision by cold forging.;SOLUTION: The soft magnetic steel material has a composition containing prescribed components, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and satisfying 0.8([B]/[N])5.0, wherein [B] denotes a B content(mass%) in the steel and [N] denotes an N content(mass%) in the steel, and has a metallic structure composed of a ferrite single phase structure, and BN having the average grain diameter (the average value of the short diameter and the long diameter) satisfying 0.1 to 2 m is precipitated by 120 to 500 pieces/mm2 in the crystal grains of the ferrite structure.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
