PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant heat property calculating method capable of achieving fast, accurate, and stable simulation even when an effective data range is expanded to a range including a critical region.;SOLUTION: When boundary temperatures for dividing a region are set beforehand with respect to the type of refrigerant and a combination of states of the refrigerant, and the boundary temperatures are included in an inputted temperature range, a positive equation to be determined is acquired by carrying out a source data arithmetic processing procedure for acquiring source data of the refrigerant heat property values in regard to the inputted temperature range per divided region by dividing the inputted temperature ranged into a plurality of regions by the boundary temperatures, a regressive processing procedure for acquiring a coefficient of a high order polynomial by carrying out regressive processing of a high order polynomial selected in response to the inputted type of refrigerant and combination of states of refrigerant by the source data, and a working equation and root selection processing procedure for solving the high order polynomial assigned with the determined coefficient, acquiring roots of the high order polynomial, and selecting an effective root from the roots.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
