PSOLUTION: The medical support processing apparatus 100 provides medical support processing using a database 700, and the database 700 includes an areal disease file 740 recording, in respect of each area division dividing areas where patients live, incidences of diseases occurring in a predetermined period in the area division accompanied by disease names. The medical support processing apparatus 100 comprises a disease name display part 11 for, when a patient's medical record information is opened according to an operation, searching for and displaying the names of diseases whose incidence in the area division where the patient lives exceeds a predetermined threshold by reference to the areal disease file 740, and an areal disease file update part 12 for, when the patient's disease name is input into the medical record information according to an operation, updating the record of the areal disease file 740 according to the input disease name.
