PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rattling motion of a door, by capturing the dead at a central part of a dead catcher, when a warp of the door returns.;SOLUTION: This dead receiving metal fitting is composed of a mud guard 8 and a strike 9. A width dimension of a rectangular opening of the strike is set so as to generate a required clearance to both side surfaces of the dead. While, the mud guard is incorporated with the dead catcher 16 and an energizing means 17 energizing the dead catcher to a predetermined position. The dead catcher has an engaging part 18 expanding in a step height shape in the outward direction toward the rectangular opening from a central part. When the door 3 warps, while the dead 5 engages with the engaging part slipped out of the central part, and when the warp of the door 3 returns, the dead is captured by and engaged with the central part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
