PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb the noise generated when a protecting cloth rubs against an interior trim of a vehicle. PSOLUTION: The protecting cloth 2 is to be wound fast on the air bag portion of an air bag module 1 equipped with an inflator 4 fixed to a gas guide 5 provided for introducing the gas to an air bag and a duct 6 formed in the upper part of the air bag. A woven part 2b woven from threads, for example having a high expanding/contracting possibility, is formed in each side part in the longitudinal direction of the cloth itself 2 given approximately a rectangular shape in such a size as covering the air bag. This assures an excellent noise reducing characteristic with the conventional function well held without affixing a separately provided sound absorbing material to the part where the cloth rubs against the interior trim of the vehicle. Because the woven part is formed in the protecting cloth itself, there is no fear of slipping off or being dislocated, which is likely with an affixed sound absorbing material.
