PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new silsesquioxane polymer having an optically reactive group and method for producing the same, and to provide a refractive index converting material and light-heat energy converting and accumulating material.;SOLUTION: The silsesquioxane polymer is composed of a repeating unit represented by formula (1), and the method for producing the same comprises reaction of the polymer composed of the specific repeating unit and a specific compound. [In the formula R1 is a group represented by formula (a). n is a repeating number. In the formula (a) R2 is a group represented in either one of formula (a-1) to formula (a-9)].
