PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for identifying rice blast resistance. PSOLUTION: The method comprises the following procedure: With reference to the physical map of BAC/PAC in the disclosed database, a clone in the vicinity where rice blast resistance-related gene Pb1 is supposed to be present is selected, and a total of 21 new Pb1 markers are prepared. For the homo-type line(FSB4/SB) of "Norin #8"/"St. No.1", whether the homo-type line(FSB4/SB) is "Norin #8" type or "St. No.1" type is determined, along with assaying rice blast resistance in a farm, thereby a Pb1 marker present between the markers "NA-2RG4" and "N2-3RG" is offered as the rice blast resistance marker.
