PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multimedia reproduction system which further increases user friendliness in a multimedia reproduction device connected to an Internet. PSOLUTION: A function icon array 70 comprising multiple icons showing types of reproduction functions and a content icon array 72 comprising multiple content icons showing items of reproducible contents are displayed on a menu screen 50. When the function icon displayed in an intersection 76 where the function icon array 70 and the content icon array 72 intersect with each other is a network icon 63, the content icons are displayed hierarchically with an XML file obtained through the Internet.
