PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a kit for differentiating whether or not a sample including a cattle-derived DNA is cattle which is not Japanese black cattle. PSOLUTION: There is provided the method for differentiating whether or not the sample including the cattle-derived DNA is a sample derived from the cattle which is not the Japanese black cattle. The method includes detecting the presence or absence of at least one single nucleotide polymorphism selected from the group consisting of SNP(1) to (10), and differentiating the sample in which at least anyone is detected as a sample derived from the cattle that is not the Japanese black cattle.
