PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a holding force for holding a member to be held by increasing the residual axial tension in a base part of a workpiece subjected to caulking work.;SOLUTION: Pressure in the same direction as the direction of the holding force which is generated in a caulking part 8b by the pressure of a caulking roller 24 is imparted to the pressure receiving corner part 8y of a bearing holder 8 aside from caulking pressurization when caulking is performed. Therefore, the difference between the bearing holder and an outer race 14a is increased because elastic deformation is accelerated in an unbent peripheral wall part 8c and the amount of the elastic deformation in the axial direction of the bearing holder 8 is reduced. Thus, the residual axial tension on the bearing holder 8 is made larger as compared with usual caulking after finishing the caulking and the holding force for holding the outer race 14a is enhanced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
