PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust explosion experience experimental device and a dust explosion experience experimental method for actually experiencing dust explosion resulting from electrostatic charge of powder, and for feeling the risk of the explosion.;SOLUTION: The device which generates dust explosion resulting from electrostatic charge of powder comprises: a charging means electrostatically charging to-be-charged powder m; an explosion cylinder 10 storing powder for generating dust explosion; a connection/disconnection means 6 provided between an electrode of the explosion cylinder 10 and the charging means, and electrically connecting/disconnecting them; and an airflow supplying means continuously supplying airflow into the explosion cylinder. A cloud of dust is constantly formed in the explosion cylinder and, when it changes into the state where both state of the cloud of dust and the amount of electrostatic charges of the charging means are suitable for dust explosion, the charging means and the electrode of the explosion cylinder 10 can be electrically connected by the connection/disconnection means 6. Thus, the dust explosion resulting from the electrostatic charge of the to-be-charged powder m can be surely generated in the explosion cylinder.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
