PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nanoparticle dispersed liquid crystal that is simply produced and a method for producing the same.;SOLUTION: The nanoparticle dispersed liquid crystal is obtained by dispersing a nanoparticle that is not treated (chemically modified) to improve compatibility with a liquid crystal material into a liquid crystal material. Since liquid crystal molecules are physically adsorbed on the surfaces of nanoparticles, the nanoparticles are not aggregated each other.
