PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a calculation amount related to a metal arrangement pattern on an antenna element surface while sufficiently optimizing antenna characteristics when designing a small-sized antenna.;SOLUTION: In this antenna design method, a step for acquiring a first slave group is restarted by using the first slave group acquired in the step for acquiring the first slave group or a second slave group acquired in a step for acquiring the second slave group as an initial group, and the step for acquiring the second slave group is restarted by using the first slave group acquired in the step for acquiring the first slave group as the initial group. In the step for acquiring the first slave group, the first slave group which is calculated and obtained as a portable communication terminal remains closed is optimized as it remains opened. In the step for acquiring the second slave group, the second slave group which is calculated and obtained as the portable communication terminal remains opened is optimized as it remains closed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
