The particle filter for an internal combustion engine, comprises a catalyst (100 g/l) in the form of amorphous iron particles or oxides, hydroxides and/or oxyhydroxides of iron deposited on a part of filtering walls in the form of colloidal suspension in aqueous medium. The iron particles have a diameter of 1-5 nm of which 95% of the particles is primary particles and III degree of oxidation. An independent claim is included for a process for depositing a catalyst on wall of a particle filter.
