The laboratory reactor comprises a spiral tube, which has a succession of curves for the cocurrent downward flow of the liquid gas or liquid. The catalyst is present in the form of solid particles of diameter (D) of 0.5-4 mm. The reactor has a catalytic volume V of 10-1 cm 3. The liquid gas or liquid flows in the downward direction. The diameter of the reactor is lower than 8 mm. The reaction is a solid liquid reaction. A certain amount of inert gas is introduced in the reactor so that the superficial velocity of gas is 10% of superficial velocity of the liquid. The laboratory reactor comprises a spiral tube, which has a succession of curves for the cocurrent downward flow of the liquid gas or liquid.
