Door lock's mechanical behavior characterizing method for motor vehicle, involves combining contact and deformation information to know precise moment of deformation of case and to reconstitute cause and consequences of opening of door
The method involves placing contactors on an internal lever of a lock that releases its bolt during an impact, where each contactor provides contact information during the impact. Three-axis accelerometers (11-14) are placed on parts of a case (1) of the lock, where each accelerometer provides deformation information during the impact. The contact information and the deformation information are combined to know precise moment of deformation of the case of the lock and to reconstitute cause and consequences of opening of a door of a motor vehicle.
