Photovoltaic roofing element e.g. transparent glass tile, for use on e.g. roof of building, has central portion covering specific percentages of area of element, and photovoltaic cells arranged in central portion of element
The element has photovoltaic cells (10) arranged between a front substrate and a rear substrate (40) using a transparent polymer (30). The cells are electrically interconnected with each other by conductors. A lower face of the element has a central portion whose thickness is between 6 and 20 millimeters, where roughness of the central portion is higher than 2 millimeters. The central portion covers 33 percentages of an area of the element. The cells are arranged in the central portion of the element.
