Composition, used in concrete, comprises mineral additive and belite-calcium-sulfoaluminate-ferrite clinker comprising calcium aluminoferrite phase, calcium sulfoaluminate phase, belite, minor phases e.g. periclase, and element e.g. sulfur
Composition (I) comprises (in mass%) at least: mineral additives (5-80); and a belite-calcium-sulfoaluminate-ferrite (BCSAF) clinker (20-95) comprising at least (a) calcium aluminoferrite phase (5-25), (b) calcium sulfoaluminate phase (10-35), (c) belite (40-75), (d) one or more minor phases comprising calcium sulfate, alkali sulfates, perovskite, calcium aluminates, gehlenite, free lime and periclase, and/or a glassy phase, and (e) one or more secondary elements comprising sulfur, magnesium, sodium, potassium, boron, phosphorus, zinc, manganese, titanium, fluorine or chlorine. Composition (I) comprises (in mass%) at least: mineral additives (5-80); and a belite-calcium-sulfoaluminate-ferrite (BCSAF) clinker (20-95) comprising at least (a) calcium aluminoferrite phase of formula (C1 2A xF1 (1-x)) (5-25 mass%), (b) calcium sulfoaluminate phase of formula (C1 4A 3S2) (10-35 mass%), (c) belite (C1 2S1) (40-75 mass%), (d) one or more minor phases (0.01-10 mass%) comprising calcium sulfate, alkali sulfates, perovskite, calcium aluminates, gehlenite, free lime and periclase, and/or a glassy phase, and (e) one or more secondary elements comprising sulfur, magnesium, sodium, potassium, boron, phosphorus, zinc, manganese, titanium, fluorine or chlorine. C1 : CaO (lime); A : Al 2O 3(alumina); F1 : Fe 2O 3; S1 : SiO 2(silica); S2 : SO 3; and x : 0.2-0.8. Independent claims are included for: (1) a hydraulic binder (II) comprising at least one composition (I) and calcium sulfate (1-40 mass%); (2) a concrete containing at least one hydraulic binder (II); and (3) preparing a concrete, comprising mixing the hydraulic binder with aggregates, water, optional additives, and optional mineral additives.
