Enrichment of plant material in flavonoids, comprises (a) maceration of the plant material in a solvent or mixture of solvents in which the flavonoids have little or no solubility; (b) separation of plant material and the liquid obtained; (c) maceration of plant material obtained in a solvent or a mixture of solvent in which flavonoids are soluble and (d) separation of plant extract and plant material obtained. ACTIVITY : Cerebroprotective; Cardiovascular-Gen.; Antiinflammatory; Antimicrobial; Antiallergic; Cytostatic. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
