The apparatus has a first flexible envelope for receiving and maintaining a finger of a hand, where the first flexible envelope is a finger cot, a muffle or a glove. The first flexible envelope is associated and integrated with a second inflatable flexible envelope imparting a cyclic rehabilitation movement to the finger of the hand by a controlled variation of internal pressure of gas delivered, via an inlet port, from gas pressure generators in the second inflatable flexible envelope.
