Automatic luge i.e. summer luge, transporting device for cableway, has magnet co-operating with plate integrated with luge for releasing luge from seat due to excitation of coil by creating magnetic flux in air gap of plunger
The device has a retaining unit including an inductive hooking device (11) formed by a plunger and arranged at an end of a support lever (15). The plunger is composed of a ferromagnetic core with an operating coil and a polarization permanent magnet co-operating with a plate that is made of a magnetic material and integrated with a luge (12) for assuring its hooking by magnetic attraction of the magnet when the coil is dead and for releasing the luge from a seat (10) due to excitation of the coil by creating magnetic flux in an air gap of the plunger. An independent claim is also included for a method for transporting a luge between a downstream station and an upstream station of a chairlift.
