Airborne radar anti-jamming method for fighter airplane, involves correlating measurements obtained by radar platforms, and identifying false returns not respecting geometry of relative velocity vectors of target and radar platforms
The method involves measuring, at each time, radial velocity of a target (3) i.e. fighter aircraft, by using two airborne radar platforms (1, 2) that are remote from one another, where the platforms are pointed on the target without being aligned with the target. Measurements obtained by the radar platforms are correlated at each time. False returns not respecting the geometry of relative velocity vectors of the target and the platforms are identified.
