The intermediate novel material comprises unidirectional carbon fibers (1) having a weight of 100-280 g/m 2, associated, on each sides, to veil (2a, 2b) of thermoplastic fibers. The veil has a thickness of 3-35 microns along its same sides, and a weight of 0.2-20 g/m 2. The intermediate material has a thickness of 90-320 microns. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for fabricating a composite part; and (2) a composite part.
