Sheet metal object e.g. shielded metal door, fabricating method for building, involves programming control of numerically-controlled machine-tool based on verified data, for realizing machining operation in computerized manner
The method involves inputting data e.g. dimensions, defining a sheet metal object, and verifying coherence of the input data in a computerized manner. A contour of a plane sheet metal blank is defined from the input data in a computerized manner. A location of a fold line on the blank is defined in a computerized manner. A control of a numerically-controlled machine-tool is programmed based on the verified data, for realizing a machining operation e.g. folding operation, in a computerized manner. An independent claim is also included for a computer program comprising instructions for performing a method for fabricating a sheet metal object.
