Impactor for positioning surgical staplers to maintain bony parts in position, has immobilization unit i.e. end portion, immobilizing bridges of staplers relative to elastic strip when arms of staplers distally project with respect to strip
The impactor (2) has an elongated body (3) and a distal reception piece i.e. elastic strip (4), for receiving a right angled surgical stapler (6) and an oblique surgical stapler (7), where the strip is moved with respect to the body. An immobilization unit i.e. end portion (45), immobilizes bridges (65, 75) of the staplers relative to the strip when arms (61, 71) of the staplers distally project with respect to the strip. The end portions are arranged opposite to each other, where the portions form a space (e) to receive a portion of the bridges of the stapler.
