Object of interest i.e. brain tumor, volume measuring method for use during MRI, involves displaying value of measured volume of object of interest on interface or storing value of measured volume in memory
The method involves screening raw images (In) for isolating a group of volumetric pixels to obtain screened images. Iterative processing of previously screened images is performed from a reference screened image in which an object of interest is selected, to obtain processed images that include the object. Summation of the pixels representing the object is carried out, and number of the pixels obtained by spatial resolution of the pixels is multiplied to obtain volume of the object. A value of the measured volume is displayed on an interface or stored in a memory. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer system for measuring volume of an object of interest located in a medium (2) a readable or usable medium comprising instructions to perform a method for measuring volume of an object of interest located in a medium.
