The method involves producing an imaging object in an image level of a camera arrangement (K). Imaging speed of the imaging object in the image level is determined. Relative speed between the camera arrangement and the object is determined. A direction angle between an optical axis of the camera arrangement and object direction vector is determined. A distance value of the object is determined from the relative speed, imaging speed and the direction angle. Pixel groups are provided on a pixel array to determine distance of multiple objects. An independent claim is also included for a device for distance determination of an object.
