The spike has a body (1) with a symmetry axis (S) at which a spike stub (2) is arranged. The body has an upper surface and a bottom flange (4), where upper surface is attached while installing the spike in a stud hole in the spike tire in the area of a contact rubber or in its proximity. A surface (5) of the bottom flange is directed opposite to the bottom of the stud hole and another surface (6) of the flange is set opposite to the contact rubber. A part of latter surface of the flange is arranged to lie at an angle of below 90 degrees opposite to the symmetrical axis of the body.
