Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) symptom information is disclosed and includes a processing module, a standard TCM data module, and a memory module, wherein: in the described TCM standard data module, the TCM subject vocabulary as well as the relationship attributes of the described TCM subject vocabulary are stored; the described processing term is used in at least one phrase to assign the described phrase based on the described TCM vocabulary and thereby obtain words pertaining to the described TCM vocabulary based on the relationship attributes of the described TCM vocabulary for the words to establish a relation in the described phrase and to store the words for which a relation was made as structured data in the described memory module. This invention also discloses a method for storing TCM symptom information. By practicing this invention, it is possible to record symptom information that has been logged based on any linguistic habits of the physician, to reduce the complexity of logging symptom information, and to simplify physician input.
