The compound steering rear axle (1) has two semi-trailing arms (2) for the support of wheel carriers, which is bend-rigidly by a transverse profile and is connected in torsion-flexible manner. The transverse profile is fastened to the semi-trailing arms by electromagnetic pulse welding. An independent claim is also included for a method for production of a compound steering rear axle.
