The module has a gas bag (10), which is inflatable for protection of a person. A gas generator (30) is inserted into an inner space (I) of the gas bag via an insertion opening (12) of a gas bag covering (11), so that an end section (31) of the gas generator protrudes from the inner space through the insertion opening. A tab (50) is provided for sealing the insertion opening at the end section of the gas generator, so that the tab encompasses the end section. The gas generator is lengthwise extended in an extending direction (E).
