Chain tensioner for tensioning of drive chain of chain drive between crankshaft and camshaft of internal-combustion engine, has tensioning and/or adjusting device with inner eccentric that is rotatable during operation of tensioner
The tensioner (1) has a tensioning and/or adjusting device i.e. double eccentric tensioning apparatus (16), that acts on a chain rail (3). The tensioning and/or adjusting device has an outer eccentric (18) and an inner eccentric (19) that is rotatable during operation of tensioner. The inner eccentric has a borehole that is eccentric to a peripheral surface (27). The inner eccentric is rotatable on a bearing bush that penetrates the borehole. The bush is fastened to and clamped at a carrier by a stud-bolt (22) penetrating the bush.
