The device has an evaluator for receiving input data e.g. blood sugar level (2) and insulin quantity, of a patient (1), where the evaluator is connected upstream to a neural network. The neural network provides prediction about the used quantity of insulin over a time after food intake, where the device measures quantity of insulin depending on the patient individually and continuously. The device automatically and continuously optimizes the quantity of insulin by continuous processing of the measured values.
