Rope training equipment i.e. height-adjustable bar, for training e.g. upper body of competitive athlete, has rope guide that serves as safety device for slowing down rope, when obstacle hits rope guide at running-in rope
The equipment has a roller (1) that is rotatably fastened to a carrier linkage (5). A circularly closed rope (7) is led across the roller. A braking device is coupled with the roller. A presser roller (2) fixes the rope on a peripheral surface of the roller. A rope guide (6) provided below the roller leads back the rope to the roller. The rope guide serves as a safety device for slowing down the rope, when an obstacle hits the rope guide at the running-in rope. The rope guide is fastened to the carrier linkage.
