Axial compressor for gas-turbine plant, has longitudinally aligned turbulence structure that overlies at suction side of stator blades to form oppositely rotating secondary flow turbulence structure
The compressor has a highly loaded compressor stage with a stator (2) comprising a set of adjacent stator blades (1), a housing wall and flow channels (5) that limit a shrouding hub (3). An air jet turbulence generator (8) is attached to each flow channel at an air inlet side (4) of the stator for producing a longitudinally aligned turbulence structure. The longitudinally aligned turbulence structure overlies at a suction side (6) of the stator blades to form an oppositely rotating secondary flow turbulence structure.
