The device comprises multiple proportional valves for actuation of individual segments of a cover system. The proportional valves are connected with an electric pump by a pipeline. Each inlet line of a proportional valve has a reverse flow limitation, and each outlet line has a voltage dependent throttling (4). The throttling is formed in adjusting manner, such that the pressure forms equally in the pipeline system. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a cover system of a vehicle.
