The method involves producing an image of an infrastructure from connected neurons with software support on a graphical user interface, where each neuron describes operational behavior of a part of the infrastructure with respect to energy flow as functional relation between an input variable and an output variable, on the basis of characteristic factors, energy requirement characteristics and technical/mathematical functional descriptions. The energy requirement, fed from outside, is determined on the basis of a structural network from the neurons by software.
