Method for providing optical surface with facets in reflector of downlight, involves defining optical surface, fixing corners of facets, and designing facets as free-form surfaces, where corners are connected with each other
The method involves defining an optical surface i.e. reflector surface, and fixing corners of facets (10). The facets are designed in the form of free-form surfaces are designed such that curvatures desired for sidelines are adjusted. The corners are connected with each other via a freely selectable geometrical curve. The optical surface is formed as a free-form surface. The number of corners of the facets on the optical surface is varied for covering the entire optical surface. An independent claim is also included for a lamp comprising a holding unit.
