The method involves capturing an optical image during detection of fluorescence radiation. A pigment is passed over blood in cancer. A tissue is examined, and an image of the tissue is positioned in an image section at a vision angle, where the fluorescence radiation and excitation radiation are separated from each other by an optical filter. The optical image associated with the fluorescence radiation is corrected using the image associated with the excitation radiation. An independent claim is also included for a device for representing cancer of a breast gland of a female, comprising a light source.
