The method involves winding a pre-impregnated continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastic strip (1) on a base body (2), where the strip is made of a fiber reinforced material that comprises carbon, glass and/or aramide fiber. The base body is set at a temperature of 150 degree Celsius that is below melting temperature of the processed fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite material strip and/or 100 degree Celsius that is above the melting temperature of the processed fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite material strip during winding process. An independent claim is also included for a device for production of functional layers of dynamically stressed cylindrical surfaces during winding process.
