The system (1) has a function control unit (2) individually controlling a function for a passenger (3). The passenger is authenticated by the system on basis of an identification unit (4) e.g. boarding pass, of the passenger. The identification unit includes a memory device (5) for storing personal data e.g. name, age, height, of the passenger and function control data for selecting functions. The function control unit includes a reader unit (6) for reading personal data of the passenger and the function control data that is stored in the identification unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for providing functions for a passenger.
