The slide trombone has a trombone slide and a cauldron mouthpiece provided with mouthpiece cauldron and mouthpiece shaft. The trombone slide has two inner draw tubes, an outer draw tube, a handle piece with upper handle tube (12) and lower handle tube (14), a mouthpiece retainer (13) and a water discharging device. An asymmetrical projection is provided in line of sight of player as hand support at the lower handle tube. An independent claim is also included for a hand ball support, which has a fixing unit.
