The module has a safety-related CPU including safety-at-work input slaves and output slave parts that are emulated in a housing such that the input slaves and the output slave parts are operated corresponding to specification of an actuator-sensor interface. A set of safety-related inlets and outlets are assigned to the slave parts after programming the slave parts, where the module is directed by a device. Addresses of individual slaves-parts are set. The addresses of the individual slaves-parts are identical or different from each other.
