Method for installation of cockpit assembly in body of motor vehicle, involves moving cockpit assembly to installation position, locking cockpit assembly with body, and connecting cockpit assembly with vehicle-sided body sections
The method involves providing a pre-mounted cockpit assembly (1). The cockpit assembly is moved to an installation position by a manipulator. The cockpit assembly is locked with a body in the installation position by a detachable locking device. The cockpit assembly is connected with vehicle-sided body sections by an elongated connecting unit that is arranged in a transverse direction of a vehicle, where the body sections lie opposite to each other. An adapter (7) is attached at the cockpit assembly in a detachable manner by the manipulator. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising vehicle-lateral body sections.
