Foam gravure printing method, involves providing printing pattern in printing plate with foam, and intensifying foam in proximity of pressure line, so that foam adheres at substrate and is collected by printing plate
The method involves providing a printing pattern (3) in a printing plate (1) with foam. The foam is intensified in the proximity of a pressure line, so that the foam adheres at a substrate (4) and is collected by the printing plate. Printing ink is applied as the foam on the printing plate. The printing ink is foamed on the printing plate by radiation of energy and is polymerized. The printing plate is provided with scrapers. The printing plate is attached on slots (2), which are linearly moved in a direction (6). An independent claim is also included for a printing machine for performing a method for gravure printing of foam.
