Portable hearing aid e.g. canal-hearing aid, for use in outer ear or ear channel of hearing impaired person, has capacitive proximity sensor comprising two metallic electrodes, which are arranged in inner side of hearing aid housing
The aid (1) has a capacitive proximity sensor (9) comprising two metallic electrodes (10). The electrodes are arranged in an inner side of a hearing aid housing (6). The electrodes are formed by metallic surfaces. The metallic surfaces are formed by a battery pole, a microphone housing, an earpiece housing, an ear piece connecting piece, shield sheet, metallic pin and/or metallic screw. The electrodes are designed as a thin wire. The proximity sensor is designed, such that the hearing aid is switched off when the hearing aid is not worn at a head. The electrodes are formed by structuring an inner side of the housing.
